The Party Time

What's up blogons?
Good to see RJ writing again and good to see his mustache back on but it isn't good to see his complicated study related jokes again. :P  Just joking

This December is turning out to be a very exciting and interesting one. Full of parties, cold weather, snow and more importantly lots of food! I love it! Waiting for a party on 22nd December as I see aladeen symptoms of the destruction of earth. Oh C'mon! there's no way that earth can end on 21st given that god have seen UEFA CL's round of 16 draw (Football). It's Manchester United taking on Real Madrid!!! I was dreaming of this match for the last 3 years. Even though I didn't expected them to meet this early in the competition but it's going to be a heck of an entertainment

Meanwhile, got the US visa and I'm waiting quite excitingly for my passport to be returned by the US consulate to book an itinerary to India through States and to go across the border to buy dairy products (no real intentions though), because the cows here in Canada demand a lot in return.

The last couple of weeks have been quite interesting as the Christmas parties are all over. I had been to a couple of such parties and the food was just delicious! got chance to step onto the dance floor last weekend and it was a great experience. I was surrounded by a bunch of drunkards fighting for there request to be played at last, the DJ was forced to shut down at around 1 am with my choice being played at last. Ha!! felt like a boss for while but felt like a chauffeur the very next moment when I realized that I have to drive back home with 6 drunkards in the SUV with everyone expressing there own views on directions. It just took 2 hours but we successfully reached back home.

People have started preparations for the eve of Christmas as some of the houses have been beautifully decorated with lights and Santa's brand new train. I guess he can't afford all that stuff on a sleigh so he bought a train.
Credits to Deepika and Prinka for this photo and the cash to me. :P
Well, that's how you crack a lame joke.
Yeeehaaa! Snowfall! just to make you fall, your car roll, you have to be staul. Hey ladys! take out your shawl, don't walk! you crawl!! rhyming is what it's call. lol
I can see my future in "RAPPING" (Capitals to make sure you don't misread it).

Everything seem so pretty in snow apart my car, hard to drive it in this weather and I don't wanna take chances. My poor car :(

Btw Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to all of you.

The Poor Post

Hellos and high fives...

Are you a victim of poor jokes? Do you have a friend who can never produce a good sensible joke? Does he/she makes you want to kill them? If so...then come to me...I shall council you for your sense of humor!

Believe me, you need it. There are so many bad jokes that you must have laughed out loud and yet, complained! I mean...c'on! Jokes are rated by the no., duration and intensity of laugh they receive. If a statement manages that, no matter how nonsense, illogical, or unrelated, it is as good a joke as there are. So, next time, only say PJ if you are ordering more than one pizza in India.

Plus not to forget the benefits, the amount of brainwork it needs to produce such jokes is far more than known, it's a good exercise of the brain and it helps a lot in studies too. These illogical and absurd relationships can make us(pj people) remember so much of our academic stuff using this, that without notice, we end up studying less and remembering more.

Even the people responsible for nomenclature of stuff had the same brain, I sometimes feel, because so called people with refined sense of humor, would never have thought that we could have a hammerhead shark or a dog called bulldog. Though, I am still confused as to how the word pussy came to be for cats and then it sort of transferred, anyways...Think of a panel of scientists sitting together and saying, "ok, this sample of urine has more than 2% protein present, what should we call it?" And I believe only a guy with PJ brain could have said,"Proteinuria, may be". Thank god they agreed, otherwise we would have had a name like 'hyperbisaminouretralfluideria'.

I think I have pretty much made my point here and if not, then, read again with a dictionary in hand. This post is dedicated especially to Paji and to people who thought my life is not worth living, I have a blog to write posts for, losers! Ha!

PS : I was first introduced to this PJ phrase when I made my first hotmail ID and this first girl whom I added kept repeating it to me on my first chat and I thought it was some sort of compliment until google took my blush away.

Life of Tri (Third Semester)

Hi blogon,

This is to introduce you to the life of a second year med school student. For those of you wondering about the first year, it is all about learning about the body, it's functions on a macro and micro level and also about some of the diseases associated with them. The second, on the other hand is completely different, it's about the disease causing microbes, the hows n whereabouts of most diseases, the drugs, laws involving doctors and responsibilities of a doctor towards the society. The most interesting part of this year is about meeting real patients and dealing with their diseases as they tell us, after all starting with "hello Mr ill and Mrs sick"to "take these three times a day after food" is the dream we all had before stepping into the college.

It's interesting, fun and hectic at the same time, though I am yet to begin my proper study but I can feel what's ahead of me. On the other hand, the feeling of responsibility, both as seniors and doctors, as our juniors have landed and the need of seriousness towards our education to serve humanity better has taken over, respectively.

Since we have spent a year already, we now know exactly how to go about it so we spare some time for outdoor activities as well. Like I played a soccer game today, basketball the day before and table tennis almost everyday, cricket must wait for now.

Relationships too have changed slightly from the past year, from room sharers to hate sharers, brother to why bother, from good friend to just another friend and special one to The One(the only positive change). I am sorry for not disclosing the names for various reasons but I am sure if they read it, they'll know.

PS : The mustache is back with a white coat this time, what do you think paji?

How boring it could be

First of all I'm really hungry and I miss mom and the Rajmahs she use to make.
So, on the way back from university two of my friends were talking about Rajmahs and that made me really hungry and there's nothing to eat too! :( Seems like I'm gonna finish all the dry fruit tonight.

Life's been quite boring ever since the rest of the family left to Dubai. So all I do is get up, make milk and sit in front of the T.V not actually watching it but doing some other stuff on my laptop and still randomly keep changing channels.

What's been more boring is that I just use 4 utensils everyday, A saucepan to boil milk, A cup to drink it, A spoon to stir Bournvita and a glass to drink water. The change that happen is that they are on one side of the sink  in the morning and are on the other side for the rest of the day (To be washed), until late evenings when I've nothing to do and I somehow force myself to wash them. Wait! I guess I haven't washed them today.

I just have one more work to do apart from making milk and washing utensils and that is writing an English essay, Its the last handout essay of the semester and it has maximum marks too but the biggest problem is that it has to be around 1000 words. Now, who on earth can write 1000 words of educational stuff on a single topic? surely not me! So I've been working really hard to somehow make it look big and interesting by copying stuff from web and leaving the citations on Prinka :D

Now I'll have to wash those utensils before I go to bed so that I can wake up in peace in the morning and enjoy Punjabi cookies. I really love those cookies.

Happy new month to everyone

Tour De Whistler

Had a week to remember. Went to PNE (amusement park) on Tuesday, Had a Halloween party with friends on Wednesday and it was really kewl! apart from the movie thing (no offence), went to Vancouver downtown on Thursday and the weather was good too! Went to the clinic yesterday and that was interesting too! Just went for regular check up but I had to remain hungry for almost 15 hours just because of the silly glucose test and still waiting for the reports, and I guess its Saturday today, went to Whistler and visited many other great places on the way. Here are some of the photos of from this week.

I  love this picture for it's quality. Downtown Vancouver

A tribute to the first Indians that came to Canada as a coal mine workers almost 100 years ago.
At the convention center. The guy who took this photo was quite shocked because he took 4 photos just in seconds and he didn't even knew that the photos were actually taken. Poor Iphone guy.

Well  that's Whistler. The place where most of the skiing competitions took place during 2010 winter Olympics, the city is really very beautiful and so were the girls who took this pic. ghaint! :P

Lost Lake: as the name suggests the place was lost too and we too got lost for a bit searching for this place. But the weather and the view was awesome, it was worth losing everything.

Now I realized why most of the professional photographers are from these countries, you just need a camera and a good day and you can keep on clicking the whole day. Nature at its very best!

Meanwhile wake up Anthropists! or I'm dead too!

Weekly dose

Well first of all a complaint to Priyanka. Why the hell on earth is the WiFi not working only on my phone??? I feel discriminated... Sue ju! JK, but its not been working for the last 2-3 days

It has been quite a busy weekend this one, had to do a lot of hard work as we were shifting my cousins house in the pouring rain of Surrey with a warning of storm and a possible Tsunami threat, 21 Dec is not far, hmmm! The north western coast of B.C* suffered 3 consecutive earthquakes on Saturday to a magnitude of even up to 7.7, though it scared the shit out of the people I was completely unaware until I read that in a news.

So having received all the cards whether it be the PR(Permanent residence) card or the care card I kinda feel so free to move around because all I care about was the care card and now that I've got it I don't care about anything..:P. I haven't had so many cards in my wallet before.

I just came from a tennis match and I still feel very enthusiastic and full of energy. Though I'm just a beginner but I certainly feel like I played my best tennis ever, it was raining and it was raining winners from my side, we were playing in a deuce court and we just nailed it! Won the five set game 4-1 having lost the opening set and come from 8-4 down in the 5 and last challenged set to win it 11-9. Having been a great fan of Rafael Nadal I finally got the opportunity to celebrate the way he does, lying flat on the ground with a relief and it was raining. It was a great feeling.

Planning to go to Whistler next week, Lets just hope that the weather remain clear and so does our thinking.

*Always stands for "British Columbia"

Like A Boss!

Feeling a lot excited, relieved and tired. Finally got my Canadian driving license too!..:) Though it's a class 7 license which means that I've a few restrictions too, but still I can legally drive anytime on the road unlike before when I was driving on my expired U.A.E license..:P *Ssshhhh*. I just can't wait to go back to Dubai just because I wanted to renew my Dubai's license as soon as I can.

Further talking about the test, It was at one of the most busiest and the most difficult place to drive on in B.C(it only means "British Columbia" here). It was in North Vancouver, the area lying next to mountains, highly populated and congested with very complicated streets.

So I was just driving around Vancouver today in the joy of getting my new license, though I covered almost every single street around the city but I was still just driving around. A cousin of mine who drives his own taxi in Vancouver took me around the city, Believe me he can even fail GPS in the city. So I went to UBC for the first time, Its BIG! It's more like a city, we just went on the outer boundary of it and it was still around 10 km from one end to another, but I still don't understand the Idea of having a Nude beach in a University(Planning to enroll there...:P) and the sunset view from Stanley is just something worth watching.

Meanwhile I just came to know that the SRK starrer movie "Pardes", which was based on an Indian family living in LA was actually mostly shot in Vancouver! and for almost 15 years of my life I've been imagining that as LA and looking for that bridge in the song "Yeh Dil" on the maps of LA! which actually is Alex Fraser bridge, Because it was the first suspension bridge I ever saw. Cheater Cocks!

Ohh and I'm the only guy in the family to have a driving license of 3 different countries now! That feels great!
Now that song got stuck in my head. Aaaaahhhhhhh!
Good night everyone!
Tata!

It's raining bhangra

First of all this album promo has got stuck in my mind and I can't wait to download it..:P, But sadly it's gonna release on November 1st .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHkCLP9X3LQ&feature=g-all-u
I love almost every single track in it but "Chunni", "Truck" and "Ranjha" are just all over my head.

The very moment I wrote the topic it started raining again. Rain here is like guests in India, you can expect it to be unexpected. I feel like heaven when it rains coz I'm a rain lover, but here the rain is different from the way it rains in India or even Dubai(Hardly though). I mean no thunders, no lightning, It's like a song without beat in it. I need bass!!

Also driving becomes a lot difficult here once the clouds start pissing off unlike India where it doesn't matter whether it's raining, fog or whatever it is.

Moving on, these days we(me and my friends at university) are quite busy doing bhangra practices for the event which is on 6th November. It's been more than 3 weeks now since we started but all we have done is 3 minute of it and we still have "only" 7 minute of it left to think about, practice it and perfect it. But to what we have done till now looks muchhhhh more energetic than I ever did before.

And sorry to those who were asking for my recent pics. I haven't captured one yet, will try to hire someone to take a picture or two, next post maybe....

Btw went to this bhangra competition last week and it was worth it! we had to walk 2 km because we took a wrong bus, but somehow we made it before the main performances and the energy in the theater was worth experiencing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvD2aYKZKRw
P.S: Don't expect me in the video and watch the last 2 minutes

Tata!

A tough weekend

OMG! It's just early October and the winter's already here, The minimum temperature for the night is expected to be 4 degrees everything around me is freezing cold.

Finally done with the English essay and submitted it too *relief*. I felt it even more difficult and nervous then our English board exam back in 12th, and last but not the least we had to present it! and I realized it when I entered the classroom.

Let's just move on, because I never talk about studies, I call it the most boring part of my life. So last weekend me and a few of my cousins we were all together and did this adventurous and highly risky thing here in British Columbia "Cutting trees". We actually didn't cut them the whole it was just about cutting a few branches that were obstructing the view.

Cutting a tree here is a far bigger crime than cutting a man. If caught or reported while cutting a tree you might end up being in jail and with a minimum penalty of $5000. Considering that in our mind it was a really tough job, to make it even more tougher the branches were almost like 40 feet high and one of us have to climb all the way up through a steel stair which wasn't even perfectly placed.

For all the good reasons that guy wasn't me..:) but my job got worse when I had to climb all the way up holding the saw which was turned on in one hand and try to stick to the stair by other which eventually started shaking because of me shivering and the Saw vibrating too. Omg! It was very scary, I don't have my health card, So even a small injury could have cost a lot (I was thinking about that the whole way up)..P

That's one of my cousin who was forced to climb up the tree just because he's got a couple of photos of him on Facebook where he was climbing trees.
P.S: Don't share everything on Facebook for everything there's twitter....:P

Moving on I have a class 7 driving test this Friday in Vancouver and I doesn't even know the location, the time and the area where I'm gonna take my test. I'm screwed!

My Personal experience: From recent experiences I've realized that we must not extend our hand to shake hands with others who have come to you even or try to hug them. Feels awkward when they don't do the same in reply. I mean it can happen with everyone...

Tata!
*Confused about the topic now*

Routine Check I'm Alive!

It's Thursday! my turn! Well Everything looks kewl! Don't know about you but I'm shivering. Life's been super good ever since I started my university (Oye hoye kudiyan hi Kudiyan!...:P). Don't know why people still think of me being a new lad in the city. I roam around the streets like a boss ever since I got a car. My Own car! I like it! The only thing I hate about it is the insurance. Crap! The car cost me around 8K and the insurance was around half of it! I could have had two R15s in India with this amount, unlucky me. It's a 2005 "fully loaded" Honda Accord.

So almost since my first day here Surrey I've been driving crazy like taxi drivers, I just want someone to tell me to drive a car and I know almost every single corner around this place apart from my University..:P All I know in my university is the library(Our meeting spot at the uni.) and Tim Horton(Out eating spot in the uni.).

I'm doing almost nothing here but I still never make it home before 10pm almost every single day and even I can't figure out how and why and every morning dad wakes me up at around 7 just coz he has to watch cricket match on laptop and I'm the operator.

The best thing about this place is that when ever people see a rich guy going in a good car they are like "It's an Arab"and that drives me crazy, the only thing people know about Arabs is that they are super rich.
Guess what? The road in the picture is a trans Canada highway which runs almost throughout the country! They call it a "HWY", Apparently that looks smaller than a service road in Dubai! Poor people. Oh and I was driving at around 130+ on it and it was looking really Fast!

Had to wake up early in the morning to watch India Vs Australia and I've to go for a tennis match too. Finally I've started playing Tennis too! Probably it was the only sport left which I didn't get injured while playing...:P Trying to achieve that too...:D
Tata!

I am mast!

Hello, beautiful people!

It's been unbelievably long since I was vocal about my whereabouts. So I decided to pen down a few words and arrange a few sentences here there before I go back into hiding again :P

So, How have my pals been? I know Gurpreet is in Canada, boasting about the fact that he is from Dubai! Just kidding. And the last time I talked to Rajesh and Shariq, both of them were hale and hearty. And as for Amit and Yusuf, I hope they are doing fine as well!

If anyone of you were keeping track of time, you'll know that I'm not a fresher anymore! Yay! :D Man, it's an amazing feeling just to wake up and walk around the campus filled with new faces! I once literally heard a mumbling about how seniors are cool! Haha, made my day! Seeing these new faces around me makes me remember myself from a year back. I was silly, afraid(just a bit) and boy, I sure was interrogative! I used to ask so many questions! How's this? Why that and all! Good thing I survived, else I would have died with so many queries in my mind. Lol!

The other big thing happening around me is the annual festival, and everyone's burning the night oil (Used as a metaphor, don't be sarcastic. I know your double meanings very well, Gurpreet :P) just to make sure that things fall right where they should be. I'm doing my part as well. As a matter of fact, I'm going to compete this year. The last time I competed I  remember was with RJ, I guess CIF, right? Ah, old memories! I'm going to be presenting a paper on Nanotechnology. Exicted. Wish me luck.

So, this is pretty much it, my life in a nutshell.

Good bye!

Reporting from Canada

I'm kinda so excited to write this post that I've been planning it for the last week or so but that lazy part of me stops me from doing it when I think about writing 2-300 words out of nothing.

Well First of all my flight wasn't as bad as I was expecting it. It was very boring but I wasn't tired enough to feel like jumping off the plane or not to wake up for 2-3 days, probably because I was excited about the new place but for a moment  I was shocked when I landed and I saw the freakin 1990s airport with same model cars moving around the runway and all. I was like am I in Canada or in Somalia?

Talking about now, I'm having quite a great time here, got a lot of great new friends all thanks to Priyanka (Why my auto correct shows it paprika??)...:P and a few of them of my type as they can understand my double meaning talks. It was tough in the first week when I was totally messed up with locations and I was trying to change from my lifestyle in Dubai to a new lifestyle here in Canada (Especially adapting to the weather) But its all good now just apart from University.

The best thing about this place is that I feel like being in Developed Punjab. Almost half of the population is of Punjabis and I guess the second language is Punjabi too! Sounds surprising but it is! And the best thing is to watch old people sit in the park and play "Seep" (card game) in groups.

So all I've been doing here is trying few new things like playing tennis, trying to adapt to woody stuff (wooden houses, they are very noisy), to adapt to the accent and to drive a lot around the city and to drive slow(most difficult part). Oh and I go to University too! once a week and that too I've a class with Priyanka and Deepika  its the English (Hogayi padhayi) you can expect the rest with me being the way I was in TCS. Sunir lal was better than this teacher though. I miss him for the fights we use have.

Some of my friends have Bhangra in the University tomorrow and I'm not in it! but I'm still so excited about it. Excited to see them do it in pairs with "Female partner" and I'm like CRAP! I should have been here much more earlier..:D

Well I haven't been to many places around here so I can't differentiate much between this place and Dubai but to what I feel I think this place has a great weather apart from the fact that it rains around 9 months (Reminds me of a poem. remember?) a year and its much greener here, Apart from that I don't feel anything special about Canada and also when I tell people that I'm from Dubai and I tell them the facts about Dubai they are basically stunned for a moment or two and at first they can't believe it.

And yea I've found a few cricket clubs too and might contract with one of the clubs next season. Already excited about that.

Last but not the least I love Dubai!
Tata!

First day at college

It was good. Got to know new people. Topics of the day were Antibonding bonding orbitals and rms current. Attended only two lectures...very tired .........

Gone.

Busy days

First of all apologies from the left ventricle of my heart to Saifu. Sorry dude couldn't wish you on your birthday...

Secondly, wait no second option! that reminds me of our principal and from there our English teacher and then I can't remember anything..hurrrrrr *shakes head*
And there's already nothing left in mind except the word "pronunciation"...:P

So it's less then 15 days to go before I fly to Canada and I'm already done with my packing, most of it. But the worst thing is that now I've to pack the household things in boxes and then send it through sky cargo just because dad's going to India next week and brother's busy...:( and to make it even worse my laptop is gone for repair and I hate using others computers so I've been visiting cargo village a lot over the last 2-3 days and RTA too.

My things have this annually problem naturally in them, they have to go for repair almost exactly after a year. I remember I bought my laptop on 4th August 2010 and exactly after a year which was 4th august last year I brake it's screen fighting with my brother..:D and after exactly 2 years it has a problem with processor. So all I have right now is my galaxy (phone) actually two of them...
What I actually want to say from all this waste of words and time up ahead was that I'll be very busy over the next few days and might not be able to write much frequently, Will have to somehow make it over 200 words..:P

Btw Olympics are much more interesting this time then any other Olympics, some big unexpected shocks, amazing comeback by Michael Phelps and it's really a tough competition at the top of medal tally... looking forward to tonight's mens 100m final. Surely one of the most awaited event of this years games...

Olympics Has Begun!

How you all doing?
Well life's moving slowly on my side (Apart from shopping) and so is in the rest of Dubai. It's Ramadan and I barely get to see much of traffic all around until late nights even at the famous avenues. But London is in all sorts of hurry!
Yess! 2012 London Olympics has finally BeGun (Man Style)! and what an amazing opening ceremony it was... Amazing fireworks (I always love fireworks), Brilliant performances(I dint gave a shit though..:P) and the parade was good too! (still Don't understand why they were in a hurry) and the controversial inclusion of anonymous in Indian parade team (India and controversies are never apart).

For a moment I still can't believe that Olympics are back after 4 years, I mean I still have those images of Abhinav Bindra winning gold in 10m air pistol back in my mind, Its as if it was just a few days back. I wonder if earth is gaining some pace revolving around sun.

Well it looks like I don't need to plan my next 15 days, I was sitting right in front of the T.V for almost 6-7 hours yesterday and was still a bit angry when Dad switched it off at almost midnight because I wasn't letting anyone sleep... *Evil laugh*

It was an action packed day yesterday with most of the Indian athletes Unexpectedly letting others expectations down  but the biggest shock to me came when one of my favourite Michael Phelps failed to win a medal in 400m freestyle.(Is this the end of his era?). Well I'm supporting US just because they are the ones who can beat China in overall medal tally.

Ps to Anthropists: Koi Hai??? yoohoooo!

Bollywood goes Punjabi

We are all witnessing the changing music trend in Bollywood, I'm talking about the trend of adding Punjabi song in Bollywood films. It has become so common that every now and then we get to hear a Punjabi song in a film and most often the track goes on to become a great hit all thanks to the energetic music. Well to me that's the need of the hour too! people are fed up of romantic duet songs they need something that lifts their energy. Literally speaking both romantic and duet songs sound low class. That's what I think (No offence).
Omg! this is exactly what my IELTS teacher would have expected from me, A perfect formal introduction!...:)

The increasing passion of people towards this music has given lot opportunities to some of the Punjabi singers to come to Bollywood and sing with some of the world class music directors and singers too and biggest example is Mika, not the British one! but its Daler Mehndi's brother Mika (Rakhi Sawant wala!). Now he is so popular that every 1 out of 2 movies has his song. I don't understand why the music directors chose him over so many other great singers! I personally don't like him at all and so does the most of the Punjab.

Talking about Punjabi music in Punjab well its mostly Honey Singh who's giving the music, the hits and the headlines for all good and bad reasons. He's THE best music director in Punjab right now but he's sometimes criticised for raps, a lot recently. His songs are like Indian railways where no one knows when its gonna strike the charts but ones it comes its as exciting as rail journeys and some times as dangerous too (rare adult songs)..:P

The guy is from my district *Proudly*..:)
He's been recently in headlines for his album "International villager" which even after 10 months of its release is doing far better then other new albums and is all over radio channels even in U.A.E
There are rumours that he has been paid the highest fees ever for a Bollywood song (70 Lakh), don't know the song though.

And also recently released Punjabi film "Jatt and Juliet" has become an all time blockbuster, having shattered all the records in Punjab the movie is also a great success overseas and even after 3 weeks of its release some of its shows are still houseful even in Delhi. The film grossed around 20 crores from just around 180 screens world wide. Just compare it with hindi movies which are released at average on around 1200 screens and also when there are very few people in this world who are interested in Punjabi cinema. We slowly but surely picking up.
That's it for now... Ohh and the trailer of upcoming hindi movie "Son of Sardar" is out go check it out if you haven't seen it yet, Its really funny!
Chalo bhai Tata mera!..:P

Sickness strikes on B'day

First of all a very Happy Birthday to my dear brother who turned 25 today and its quite a special one as its his first after his marriage and its a silver jubilee..O:>)

Not a special day for me though as I'm sick. Was having a bit of fever in the morning but its almost ok now! So I'm officially on a medical leave today..:D Even yesterday I was on a leave (I wonder if I could ever go to work for 6 days in a row)..:P What makes me even more sick is staying back home and just moving from one room to another and drinking lot of water and then urinating it..:P

I just got up in the morning and sneezed and the same moment I knew that I'm gonna have fever in the coming days but it happened a bit too early. It eventually turned out to be a very boring day, actually I fell sick because of the boredom. And my mom made it worse by watching brother's wedding videos.

OMG! its bigger then LOTR! even if you add all the 3 parts, the last time I saw all the 3 parts of that movie at once I was having 103 fever the next day, it wasn't that bad this time around but it was worse! because it was kinda shameful.

Yup what else could you feel after watching your own weird dance videos and throwing notes like mad ass. It was literally raining notes at the marriage, sometimes it look like there was a competition between some 3-4 guys. there goes 200rs! lol

All I know about this is that the song was "Angreji Beat"

Time to go and get cake for brother and most probably party in the evening or on the weekend...:)
Ohh I miss you RJ!...:( You could have made it easier for me. (by ordering cake..:D)..:P

Btw found this on a truck, these guys are the real poets!

Love ur invisible posts...keep writing! Sad on the other hand that Yusuf...doesn't actually seem to care about all this...anyways...I'm here to support...shall we get back on the days schedule??? Otherwise it's all gonna be messed up...so decide fast and lemme know... Love you all... - RON PARKER

Legends never die

This will be remarked as a day when the world lost its real super hero "Dara Singh". He was a lot more then just a normal person. A legend for some, a superhero for kids of 80s and 90s, a role model for those wrestlers who wanted to be like him, A great actor and a great personality in real life. A person with many personalities and one huge heart.

He was the only person whose stories were more then enough to imagine how great he would have been back in his wrestling career. Though I never saw him fight but my dad use to tell me about some of his fights when I was a kid and they were none less then a superhero stories and they were real!

Well I think with his death a bond is broken, A bond between two generations. A father and his son who use to watch him at the same time but with two different images in mind.

Legends never die
There's a place for them in the sky
Where they can sit up high
and watch us all cry
May your soul rest in piece
Oh god! on you we rely

Our PM an Underacheiver?

Hey!
-- Skip this part and scroll down if you are not a political geek.

Ahead of 2014 polls every alliance is looking forward to get the prime ministers seat. But i have noticed one significant thing. This time the NDA alliance is trying its best to regain power. Every controversy whether it be controversial Lokpal bill or anyone involved in it or anything similar to it. I personally think the plot is more directed towards Congress rather than for the welfare of people. I am not praising Congress, I do agree there are some flaws. But i think some things are getting biased. Like this ''Time Magazine'' which is based in US has labeled our PM as an ''Underachieiver'' . Dr. Manmohan Singh contribution to Indian economy has been enormous. More over he has tryed to work out solutions. I understand that the present condition of India is flat with Indian Economy sinking hard and inflation rising, But that does make him an ''Underachiever'' .

On the other hand, (I'll make my point here that why i have called media biased). Same ''Time Magazine'' Titled ''Modi Means Business''. It has a long article that why Modi should be the prime minister and also about his achievements etc. Though it also contains the reference to the 2002 Gujarat violence. You can make out what i am trying to say (If you can't then..erm..then nothing. you just can't)

Apart from all this politics Indian life is all the same if you are not busy. When i was studying it was just awesome. I was addicted to studying 24/7. But now its all about internet, news, politics (Don't get astonished if you see me in the next lok sabha elections). I have become so much interested in politics after coming to India. First thing i do in the morning is check news for all the latest political happenings.

I don't know but whenever i see this photo (Below) I laugh out or at least smile, I also get a bit nostalgic. Old days will always remain good days in my diary..as you always hate the present. hmm...

Well i am waiting now-a-days for my college to reopen. I am keeping myself busy by editing Wikipedia ( No, i am not banned now. Thank you). I am an official Wiki editor now, if you guys want any article to be made you know who to approach ( Thats right! its me. Dont tell me you were thinking about someone else :(  ).

PS. Nice try Andy! But Roger finally got it ...Again huahahuahua (Asthma laugh- Rajesh Version ©All Rights Reserved.).

Get Married or Get Harassed

EXCUSE ME! there's someone waiting in the queue to write a post!
Why you Brake the Law???
Well yea I've been for waiting for the last 2-3 days to write a post by keeping at least a 24 hour gap between the two but due to some heavy material delivering urgency from Shark I've been waiting aside.

Okay! here's a good fact about Punjabis, whenever we meet a stranger the first thing we do is to find out whether there's any family relation between us or not, if yes then that's great but if not then there are some who are secretly trying to create relations between the 2 families. Moral: we like healthy things- healthy food, healthy body and healthy relationships...:D

Why am I discussing all this? Well first of all I'm a Punjabi(If you have doubt go read "Overdose") and secondly I'm going through something like this right now!

Last time I went to India I stayed there for around 6 months and attended lots and lots of marriages and I'm so tired of it that I don't wanna attend any marriage at least for a year or two even if its mine!..:P

Marriages means meeting some relatives and a lot of strangers who are actually relatives to you somehow (Door ke rishtedar), I met a lot of them after a long time and some of them even for the first time and Unsurprisingly  most of them were Surprised when they saw me, I was a kid back then when I came to Dubai around 11 years back but I was a 5'10" giant with a beard around his face and big turban. And most of them were saying the same thing "I remember you being a Notorious kid, you've grown up a lot! (WTH! do you expect me to be the same for my whole life?? you've grown up too! you look "Old" *In my mind), So now that you are the only unmarried guy left among your brothers what are your plans about it? And even before I could say something they use to suggest me as well "Look the palace is booked, all the relatives are together, I suggest you to do it now!" Well I somehow escaped from there.

I was talking to one of my cousin in US yesterday and we are quite frank with each other but we were not around this time as mom and dad were sitting next to me but then suddenly Bhabhi ji (Brother's wife) came on the phone, I wished her and she wished me too but then suddenly she shifted to the topic about my marriage and even before I could realize what's going on she was like I know you've seen a girl too!
Me: No!, I haven't! o.O
Bhabhi ji: Then I've seen a girl for you, shall we start conversation with her parents?
Me: No! not for 4-5 years AT LEAST!
Bhabhi ji: What about the engagement then? Do it now
Me: No! not for 4-5 years, I wanna do engineering first!
Bhabhi Ji: Who is stopping you from doing that!? this is important too!
Me: I don't wanna do it atleast for 4-5 years!
Bhabhi ji: Even the girl wants to study first, She'll be doing law!
Me: No! I don't wanna talk about it for 4-5 years (Mom and Dad asking me about whats going on)
Bhabhi ji: This means that you've found someone, I knew it! btw when are you coming here?
Me: Nooo! atleast not for 4-5 years! Oh I mean we are coming next month.

Now this a situation where you just can't answer anything!
I thought being the only unmarried guy in the family would mean a lot of advantage over others but surely its not turning out to be in the way I wanted it to be, They all wanna hang another guy like they are been hanged...

My Counselling..

When my teachers in kindergarten used to ask me what you want to become when you grow up..I used to say.. I..I..Want to beeecome a Pilot!. After i grew up my parents didn't approve my decision to join either IAF or Professional Pilot training. Okay..i said. ill become a Engineer then!...Then i faced one more dilemma. I got orders from my mother that i cannot join Civil or Mechanical. I said Okay..and only branch i was interested in was EC. Rest you all know.

Well..I don't know how much you guys like plane landings. But i love to land planes.(Without being in them). So i decided to show you guys one of my landings on St Julianna International with a Emirates Boeing 787.

Higgs Boson

Well hello everybody, I have been witnessing some renewed interest into our blog and I believe it's for the good. First of all, congrats to Shariq for UPSEE and to Paji for Canada. Now secondly, I'm here just to babble about life and science.

So, let's get started. I think you guys have all been listening and reading about the so-called "God particle" in the news these days and why should you not, Higgs Boson is the material of active research and more importantly it's existence will complete the Standard Model of Particle Physics or the theory of almost everything.

WHAT IS THE GOD-PARTICLE?

Now, most of us must be wondering as to what the God-Partice actually is. The God-Particle or technically "Higgs Boson" is a particle that is associated with the Higgs Field. So, in order to understand these bosons we need to know as to what the Higgs Field is. Higgs Field is theoretical and in theories it pervades the whole of the cosmos (outer space). The particles like Photons which make up the light are not affected by it and hence have no mass while others like electrons interact with this field and have mass given by the field. A Wikipedia definition of the Higgs Field is "The Higgs field, in a simple definition, is an hypothetical theory for existence of an ubiquitous quantum field that is responsible for giving elementary particle (like protons and neutrons) their masses." In other words the Higgs Field says that the matter is made up of mostly Higgs Bosons. I have a subject called Physics I, where we deal with Statistic Mechanics and the various statistical aspects of matter. One of the theories of Statistical Mechanics is the Bose-Einstein Statistics whose particles are known as "Bosons". Hence, The God-Particle is also a boson. A boson, named and predicted by an Indian Physicist Satyendra Nath Bose, is a particle which by definition obeys the Bose-Einstein statistics, overrules the Pauli's exclusion principle, and carry energy instead of matter (unlike Fermions). Now, you guys must be like why are we discussing bosons rather than God-Particles, the reason is that out of the six elementary bosons, i.e, the four gauge bosons, the graviton, and the Higgs boson, only Higgs boson have not yet been detected. But, more importantly if we know the properties and behavior of bosons we can identify Higgs Bosons easily. Higgs Boson is the heaviest of the particles and hence the name, God-Particle. It has mass in orders of billion electron volts! That's huge! And if the current findings are exact i.e, upto the order of 5 sigma accuracy, the mass of a Higgs Boson could be about 127 GeV. Keep in mind that 1GeV is equal to 1 billion electron volts. A Higgs Boson is like a celebrity walking in space, it is always cluttered with the Higgs Field while the photon is some normal guy on the same street. The Higgs Bosons is the signature of the field, the celebrity.

STANDARD MODEL

What is the Standard Model or the Theory of Everything? Well, actually it isn't the theory of everything as it does not incorporates the existence of the gaps within the universe known as "Dark Matter". But what this model does is that it satisfactorily explains the fundamental forces of the universe using 12 fundamental particle, and apparently Higgs was the only particle not yet discovered! So, Wuala, here we go. Now one can easily understand the nature of the time and space during the Big Bang. Basically, from my personal study(which, in fact, is very small) I think the Standard Model to Physics is like Evolution to Biology. But we still have to determine a lot of things and particles, laws of time and space and many other things before one can propose a "Theory of Everything".

HOW WAS HIGGS-BOSON DISCOVERED?

It was discovered after 40 years of its proposal by Peter Higgs. And is one the largest announcement in Physics since the discovery of the Quarks. I don't know what Quarks are since much studies were limited to Bosons. And I'll hopefully learn it in the future :D

The Higgs Bosons was discovered at Hadron Collider, the biggest particle accelerator or simply a very sophisticated Cyclotron. And it was done by smashing opposite proton beams and creating a 1 millionth second of the Big Bang. The Higgs were seen giving masses to the other particles.

A PIECE OF THE PUZZLE

According to Rolf Heuer, Director CERN "The discovery of a particle consistent with the Higgs boson opens the way to more detailed studies, requiring larger statistics, which will pin down the new particle's properties, and is likely to shed light on other mysteries of our universe." What does he mean by shedding light into the mysterious of the universe? Our universe is made up of huge amount mass, mass that is beyond imagination. And the observable mass like the Galaxies, the planets, the stars only account for about 4 percent! So, What is the rest 96 percent? As far as I can think, we don't know any thing about the rest 96 percent. It's just termed Dark Matter, but hopefully with the Higgs Boson we can determine it's nature and prove the laws of String Theory or Parallel Universe, time travel and other things.

What Einstein did to Newton's work was revolutionary and changed the course of Physics. Higgs Boson intends to do the same to Einstein's work.

You guys must be wondering how I know this shit. Well, it's because I studied some of it at college. It's almost everything I know from my studies and some past time Wikipedia-ing. But hopefully with Physics II and Physics III in the coming semesters, I'll be able to understand or at least grasp the Standard Model.

Ps. Not everything written might be correct. For further study, become a physicist or better read up the whole of Wikipedia.

College Life Starts Here...

After clearing UPSEE with a rank of 23000 I had only 2 options. To take admission in IET Bareilly, Stay and 'Survive' in their hostel( The hostels of these government colleges are the worst) Or to stay in my own house and study in JCET. Well JCET has started just 2 years back. The Minister cum chief minister of UP is pouring money in it. Thats it..wanted to show you guys these pics. :)

Had A great time after a long time

Aah finally I can see my bed!
Hello! *eyes barely opened *
Sad part of the weak: Nadal's shocking 2nd round defeat at Wimbledon and Germany's defeat at  EURO 12 *heartbreak*

So as I've been tweeting a lot more recently (mostly crap) I thought to put my 2-3 tweets together and write a post, probably what I would have tweeted throughout the day.

Had a long, exciting and an amazing day, The reasons for the joy were simply too many! Well it was Amit's birthday so we met after quite a while, went to RJs house met his mother and had a lunch too! Kheer was just mouth watering..:D, went for a movie(Gangs of Wasseypur) with Amit and Devender and the movie was just great!

A must watch movie for all,  At times during the movie Amit was jumping of his seat during the comedy scenes, Its a kind of a movie we Anthropists would have loved to see together, and the song "Hunter" need to be mentioned specially, it was just hilarious and a complete double meaning..:P

As it was Amit throwing a party at us so it was him who took us to the Theatre.Ohh does this mean that Amit was driving the car?? (wondering right?) Hell yea! What the hell is he doing here when he can easily be an F1 driver? For the first time in my whole life I was forced to put on a seat belt not by words but by some serious driving action. If you think he's short then you wrong! because the gap he maintains between his car and the car in front of him is even shorter!!..:P A great driver though I must admit.

By the end of the day it was time to return home and no Amit this time (Thank god) as I travelled in a metro for the first time since we (Anthropists) went on our last outing and it was good to hear the sound of "Al Abuva ba tuglaq (Doors Closing)" again.

Well finally managed crawling back home from the nearby station but even before I could step inside it was Dad standing outside and ready to go to Mirdif City Centre and for the moment I was like Damn! The next I joined them too!..:D

That's all it was for the day and would like mention that I started writing this post yesterday but I was so tired that I slept mid way through the post when I was somewhere in Amit's driving part and got up in the morning with my mobile under my chest....:P

IIT 'U' Turn...What's Next?

Hellooo!
Well Well Well...Here we have another dilemma on IIT row that started over about 1 year back. Hmm..to cut short our HRD minister Kapil Ji wanted a CET for engineering entrances to all the institutes in the country..including NITs, IITs, IIITs etc. But the so called autonomous IITs stood up and fought back as they didn't want to get rated on the same background as other institutions.

It was really like a stormy scene. Everyone was running in different directions. IIT Kanpur and IIT Delhi were almost on the same course wanting to conduct their own entrance if CET is not taken off the table.
Other IITs were busy whispering not to disclose anything that would hurt the autonomy. Nothing else.

But now IITs have taken a 'U' turn and they accept the CET for Engineering entrance. And they have put 20 percentile conditions on 12th percentage. That means that top 20 percent students of any 'Board' will be put forward along with their CET marks. Lols. We all know how developed our 'Boards' are and how much the students study in 12th. (Not talking about Geniuses here)

Its a big drama, i tell you. With coaching institutes revolting and India sinking in the 'Top Universities in the World List', its high - time the Indian Government look towards making education 'Better' and 'Easier'..Easier to much more extent.

Still no IIT has been seen even in the top 10 institutes in the world. Imagine. Not even in top 20. You think thats it?. Nope. Not even in Top 30. IIT Bombay comes on 36th spot. This is our education system. With thousands of universities only one manages top 40 spot. whereas US bags top 10. We need improvement in mindset then we might look after education with a better perspective.

Gadget Guru

Hello!
As I said last time that I'll be back soon so here I am!...:D
I don't know whether its a Coincidence or whatever Co it is, I see Shariq's post whenever I feel like writing, @mustafa despite being always there why you keep hiding and just commenting write something baby!..:)

I can feel my lost touch in creativeness and Imagination these days and is mainly the reason why I don't write so often because it's not that I don't have time to write or I'm no more interested in this page even though the interest have fainted a bit in a recent time just because I don't see much of a traffic following, blah, blah, but it's mainly because all I see is myself either running out of topics or I don't have that spicy thing to add to it.

The statement itself have a lot to say that "I'm my dad's official driver these days". Was kinda free since returning from India so I thought of helping out dad by driving his car and also sometimes doing some of his bank and office works as well. The schedule is a really busy one I've to get up at 6 and drive around Dubai Simple as you like!...:D. It all never goes so well though because I've this speeding evil inside and he always keeps advising me over it.

Well as I've a little under 2 months to go before I really fly to Canada (No kidding this time) all I've been doing is counting the dates on my fingertips and short listing the items I'll carry..:) Despite the joy and the excitement of travelling I'm a bit sad too not only because I'll miss my friends and It'll be a new beginning all over once I get there It's also because there are chances that I'll be travelling on the day of Eid...:(

Eid means fun for all of us here in this part of the world whether it be a Muslim, Hindu or of any religion. Apart from wishing my Muslim friends and sharing joy with them all we do is roaming almost all over U.A.E visiting coastal areas, hills, and some parks and malls. Surely gonna miss it this around...:(

Apart from driving and and thinking about my travel I've one more interest and it's about gadgets or Mobiles to be precise. During the last 2 months or so I've visited more then 20 mobile related sites around thousand times or even more, Having seen almost every single comparison between the new arrivals and rivals and some of them more than once (S3 vs HTC One X) To me the closest and toughest competition ever. If one is the best mobile the other one is even better! and for Android no wonder both are doing wonders.

After reading all the reviews and searching for stores for almost a week I finally bought an S3 last week and ever since I'm falling deep in love with it as days go by. The sensors work like magic tricks and you can easily fool a guy with some extraordinary sensor tricks on occasions , Surely Samsung is at the seventh heaven and so is Android after around 10 million pre orders of SIII and millions of them already sold (both One X and S3) and still counting. This has surely made Apple feel the heat and with its ios 6 being lauched recently and Iphone 5(Not sure what they gonna name it) expected to launch in October, Apple will try and expect to regain its lost momentum over android as well as Samsung too but its gonna be a real tough competition.
Meanwhile just to show the camera clearity of SIII

A picture captured by the front camera at left, looks weird though...
And the one captured using the rear camera with HDR mode.
That's it for now..

And yeah just moments ago my dad told me that I might be going to India with him by the end of next month...:) *Phew*
Busy time ahead, time to rest in advance...:D

Guru

Indian Life..

Heya...
Xams xams..it was like going through a marathon. Don't ask.

Well..Apart from all these exams the whole of India is going through presidential selection, I have to say one thing..after coming to India i have started to develop interest in politics to a great extent..and i follow every news related to it...might as well help me in my CAT exam after 4 years.. Lol.

Indian life is amazing..especially in Rampur when you have to wake up 6 in the morning and get milk from the vendor..I don't really go out in the mornings but sometimes its really awesome to go out and find people living life with utmost care.

Rampur is an amazing place..i remember i used to shy away when someone asked me where i live in India..Maybe it was the feeling..that ''no one knows rampur that well''..so i used to say ''Umm Delhi''.
But now after coming back to Rampur after 5 years and experiencing it is a great feeling. It is a real historic place. It was one of the princely states of India and yea..it has alot of Palaces built as it was ruled by a king.
It is a real tourist destination..but the government didn't try to promote it whatsoever. (UP government :/)
Scams and Scandals are common in UP. Money goes elsewhere. But now the government looks serious and development of Rampur is underway.
The photo you are looking at is the Main Palace of the Ruler. These guys had a good sense of Architecture..and knew what they wanted. Now its a Library controlled by central government and it is a monument of national importance.

Some people when they hear about Rampur..They say ooh! Its a dangerous place..Rampuri Knives (Chakku) are famous there. The story is  ..Yeah it was famous but the government after it limited the lenght of knives the ''chakku'' was consequently also banned. But still these knives are used in various Bollywood films to signify a very dangerous person.

Apart from all this India's first digital Planetarium is also about to be inaugrated in Rampur. Great news for all people here but they are still curious what wonders it will unveil.

Meh..Enough i am done bragging about Rampur..Just wanted to share it with you guys..

Tata...!

Blog in a mess

Elo Guys...
Well the blog doesn't look any good anymore..the reason being that the template is acting up. The widgets are creating a big mess for each and every template i try on. Adding to the problem the widgets appear again even after deleting them. I'll try to tweak the code and get the widgets off the ground. so bear with me till then.

Chop socky soldiers!

Time for some entertainment

Hola Amigos!
Como Estas?
Hope you are all doing well!

So been quite a while since I visited this page and even the Domain is gone and hardly anyone paying any interest and money these days, well there's an excuse as always with us..:P days are not the same as it use be while we were in school, I mean all are busy with studies, Some are preparing for entrance test and some like me are eagerly waiting to start studying again...

It's been almost a month since I've moved to Dubai and almost the same time remains before I go back to India...:)

Had a memorable time in India the last 5 months or so, More than a Dozen of marriages, almost equal number of festivals and above all for the first time in my lifetime the whole family was together....

Let's just change the topic and talk a bit about movies and cricket. I've been crazy about Films for the last one year or so, have hardly missed any and even searching for a lot of stuff online and then downloading it. The reason why I'm talking about this is because there is a so called Punjabi movie "Mirza The Untold story", although there's nothing in the film which wasn't told earlier in the novels or stories of Mirza Sahiba but still I don't understand why named it so..

I hope you all aware about these two names "Mirza Sahiba" well if not please google it..:D
As we all know that Punjabi cinema is not as famous as that of south or in other words it wasn't famous at all just a few years ago But slowly its making its mark.

The so called Film "Mirza" was released just a couple of weeks ago with a lot buzz around,Its almost houseful since then And oh my word what an amazing movie it is! Whether it be the Cinematography, the dialogues, the twists and turns, the music (By Yo Yo Honey Singh), etc, everything is just great! To me the best punjabi movie till date. Even though you still can't compare it with bollywood or Hollywood Industry but it might just be a hint to where the punjabi film Industry is heading.

Most of you might be thinking that whether or not I've become a critic?
No, I'm not! Its just part time or a side business...:D

Moving on with cricketing stuff and there is a thing called IPL going on. Most of you might not be interested or might have got fed up of watching it again and again over the years because I was too!

But its as good as ever and right now if you ask me I would have no doubt in saying that this season is the best of them all! Every single match is breath taking, nail biting and dad fighting...In my case.... :P

After every single game I say to myself "this is the best game I've ever seen" and the very next one is even amazing! So please tune onto your TV sets waste a bit of your time watching because its not a waste of time...:D

Signing off as I've a football match to watch followed by a film and Then I've to go to work early in the morning with Dad...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZn88muZ8bM&feature=related
Just love this song can't get it off my lips....

Will be back soon
Till then Adios!

Delhi 6!

Visit To Jama Masjid was a great experience!..
While preparing for UPSEE..I had no time to roam around and experience the Incredible India.
But in all this  hustle and bustle i got some time to visit Delhi. Great place! Thats all ..Got my exam on 22 April So pray for me...!
Tata!
