Here I am...

Adaab everyone...

The moment you enter the different amazing cities of India, you can't do but just stand and admire the vibe that's going through you. I remember the first time I stepped in Lucknow's beautifully crafted and amazingly architectural facade of LalBagh Railway Station. The split second at the first look told me that I was in a city where history is in the air.

The nawabs had grazed the land for more than a few hundred years. The sole proof can be found in the politeness of the people living here even today. The food is said to be amazing, though it's all non-veg so I won't be able to taste it but whatever veg food I have tasted is quiet incredible and absolutely worth being a vegetarian. The vivid sights of the streets are a delight to the eyes of a curious photographer. A visit to the archaeological site renowned as "Residency"(Ref: the pic^^) gave me a full throttle opportunity to capture a few moments concerning the freedom struggle and the zeitgeist of the colonial period. Some other sites like the Jama Masjid, the area near the Akbari darwaza are yet to be explored but from the outskirts, it seems like their photographs are a desideratum to my collection. There's a small river as well, known as "Gomati"(distributary of the Ganga) and it serves for a peaceful place to escape the noise of the city traffic. The streets and areas are named in the same way as it was a hundred years ago, hazratganj, thakurganj, chowk, balaganj etc. are pretty heavy names and I personally enjoy hearing them repeatedly.

About the modern reform, their are a few malls and numerous showrooms of mine and paji's likings.Hazratganj is the most expensive area in town with all the top brands situated in the same shops that existed years ago. It's a unique combination of the old and the new. The sahara mall of Sahara group called as Sahara Ganj is very well constructed with PVR screens and food court.

This is about all that I have been able to figure out about the Capital of Uttar Pradesh and hope that you enjoyed knowing about the city as well.
Signing off for now...RJ

PS : To all my friends, who are missing me, well, keep doing it coz I can't be leaving Lucknow for another 6 years...:P
